Our charity appeal for 2024 and 2025 is for Guide Dogs for the Blind as we have not managed to raise as much money as we would like this year and agreed to carry on for 2025. We shall have a representative from the charity to talk to us about what they do and why donations are so important to them

Brian Bussell

Brian Bussell was a local icon in the St George Singers; in fact the choir owes it's conception to him. Brian was a local music teacher who taught many of our members back in secondary school in the St George Singers. He invited them back every Christmas to sing with the school choir until they realised they wanted to sing more regularly; and so the St George Singers Choir was born! Throughout his life, Brian wrote many arrangements that we would regularly sing at our concerts.

Brian was a part of the choir in various background roles and led a long life until he passed last year. In honour of his memory we wanted to dedicate sections of music to Brian and his music and the fond memories we have of him.
