We've raised  £5500 this year!

We would like to say thank you to the kindness of our lovely audiences who time after time, always support us in our fundraising, particularly during one of our most successful years. All we do is turn up and sing but our audiences have been particularly generous this year which is wonderful.

2020 Donations will be going to Bristol Blood Bikes - the Bristol subset of the national charity which are an entirely volunteer based organisation transporting blood and medical supplies to wherever needs them in the country.

Over 40 years of singing, the choir has raised over tens of thousands of pounds for various charities.

Current Charity Appeal: Bristol Blood Bikes - Freewheelers

You've probably seen those motorbikes rushing past traffic with "blood" written on the side, but I bet you wouldn't guess that they're free to the NHS, is run entirely by volunteers and funded only by public donations and sponsorship. Of course they deliver blood to those desperately in need. However, they also transport much more such as patient notes, pathology, xrays, breast milk and other medical supplies. The work that Blood Bikes do all over the UK is so valuable to each and all of us. Freewheelers are the Bristol and Somerset based volunteer organisation for Blood Bikes. Please give generously to help us support Freewheelers as much as possible.

Who do we support?

Each year we choose a charity, often local to Bristol, to support. We try to check that the charity does not spend too much money on overheads so that our donations go to help those in need. We often raise upwards of £3000 per year towards each charity and invite spokespeople from the charity to come and talk at each concert about the work that they do so that everyone knows who they're donating to.
